KARATE-DO & KOBUDO – SEMINAR MATSUBAYASHIRYU WMKA

Matsubayashiriyu WMKA South America is honored to present this seminar for all levels, led by Sensei Seiko Arakaki, 8th Dan Kyoshi and Kancho of the Arakaki Dojo.

The purpose of this seminar is to teach and refine the Yakusoku Kumite series, which consists of all seven (7) forms, and the Bo Kata, Shiromatsu no Kon Dai Ni and Shirotato No Kon. These forms were incorporated by Sensei Arakaki himself after his trips to Okinawa in 2014 and again in February of 2018, where he deepened his training directly in the cradle of traditional Karate and Kobudo at the dojo led by Sensei Yoshitaka Taira, Hanshi, 10th Dan, current president of the WMKA, and Sensei Toshimitsu Arakaki, 10th Dan, current vice-president of the WMKA. During these training and exchange sessions, he was able to update himself on the latest adjustments, refinements, and technical criteria currently applied in kata and the handling of traditional weapons.

In recognition of his career, commitment, and technical skill, Sensei Arakaki received an award in Okinawa for his distinction and his contribution to the preservation of traditional Karate outside of Japan, thus strengthening our school’s connection to its roots.

The aim of this seminar is:

• Learning and correcting the Yakusoku Kumite I a VII
  
  
• Learning and correcting the Shiromatsu no Kon Dai Ni Kata
  
  
• Learning and correcting the Shirotaro No Kon Kata
  
  
• Strengthen the basic principles of daily practice.
